About The Position

Associates in Gastroenterology (AIG) is looking for a warm, caring Medical Assistant or LPN with contagious positive energy. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous M.D. office experience or clinical work.
• Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant required.
• Maintain current BLS certification.
• Maturity, empathy, and patience.
• Ability to adjust to a fast-paced environment and follow proper protocols.
• Maintain an active Drivers License - for occasional travel to our sister site location in Murfreesboro, TN.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine patient check-in procedures, including patient work-ups and new patient history.
• Approve prescriptions and communicate with pharmacies at direction of physicians.
• Assist in maintaining general medical records.
• Schedule patient appointments and other procedures in the computer as needed.
• Schedule outpatient x-rays and tests as needed.
• Collect specimens for laboratory analysis, as applicable.
• Obtain, verify, and record health information.
