Our OB/GYN outpatient office at Horace Harding Expressway is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant with a strong background in women’s health, family planning, and reproductive healthcare. In this fast‑paced practice, you’ll play an essential role in ensuring that every patient feels supported from the moment they walk through our doors. You’ll help coordinate appointments, manage patient flow, and support clinical operations — all while maintaining a respectful and courteous demeanor.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Graduate of a State/Nationally accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant
  • Proficient in phlebotomy, specimen processing, EKG, Point-of-Care testing, and vital signs intake
  • Must provide stethoscope and stay beyond shift when needed
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong planning and organization abilities for charting, recordkeeping, and managing medical supplies

Nice To Haves

  • At least 2 years of clinical experience as a Medical Assistant in women's health, family planning, and reproductive health
  • BLS Certification from the American Heart Association
  • Ability to float to other ambulatory centers
  • Outpatient or family practice experience
  • Skilled in ambulation assistance
  • Experience with patient screenings and chaperoning
  • Knowledge of infection Control practices and HIPAA compliance
  • Familiarity with EMR systems (EPIC)
  • Bilingual in English/Chinese

Responsibilities

  • Perform Point‑of‑Care testing in accordance with policy
  • Conduct phlebotomy and specimen processing
  • Complete patient intake, including vitals, weight, and height
  • Conduct screenings and collect patient data
  • Serve as a medical chaperone per policy
  • Assist providers with in-office procedures and OR bookings for NYPQ surgical cases
  • Support Manual Vacuum Aspiration for first‑trimester abortion care
  • Utilize proper usage of Trophon equipment for high-level disinfection of vaginal probes
  • Adherence to infection control practices (hand hygiene, equipment cleaning, room turnover), HIPAA, and NYP Code of Conduct
  • Provide accurate documentation within EPIC
  • Maintain efficient patient flow throughout the clinic
  • Schedule Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturdays. Start times vary based on departmental needs. Shift options may include: 8:00 AM –4:00 PM. 8:30 AM –4:30 PM 8:45 AM –4:45 PM 9:00 AM –5:00 PM 11:00 AM –7:00 PM (alternating)
  • May include alternating weekends.
