About The Position
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) provides patient care management to an assigned clinic at the Multi-Specialty Center in El Paso, Texas. The CMA works under the clinical direction of a physician or nurse and reports to the Director of Nursing, Outpatient Physician Specialty Clinic.
Requirements
- Current Certified Medical Assistant certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- High school graduation or equivalent.
- Graduation from an approved Medical Assistant certification program.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Effective interpersonal relationship skills and the ability to interact with people with different personalities.
- Working knowledge of office and medical equipment.
- Knowledge of medical ethics and their application, and ability to ensure HIPAA compliance.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and working knowledge of ancillary services.
- Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.
- Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot when situations arise.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience preferred.
- Pediatric experience preferred.
