About The Position

The Oncology Medical Assistant works closely with the oncologist, practice manager, nurse and other colleagues to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient clinic operations. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for taking vital signs, medical histories and collecting labs while maintaining a clean and organized clinic environment. We are seeking an individual with effective communication skills who is also able to offer compassionate support to patients and families. If you are passionate about using your medical expertise while providing a safe and supportive environment for patients and being a part of a multidisciplinary team, we would love to meet you.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a one-year medical assistant program or an accredited two-year medical assisting program
• Knowledge of medical terminology required
• CPR certification required within 60 days of hire

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience or training in general medical office skills and procedures preferred
• One to three years of experience in a medical or physician office preferred
• Basic business office, clinical, and computer skills preferred
