About The Position

The Staff Pad is partnering with a hospital in Blue Ridge, GA to hire a Certified Medical Assistant for their Orthopedic Clinic team. This role focuses on ensuring smooth clinic operations through clerical support and exceptional patient care. The schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, detail-oriented, and able to make a meaningful impact on patient care while building clinical experience.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Current MA certification or equivalent experience required
CPR certification required within two weeks of hire
Ability to follow directions, manage time, and work effectively under pressure
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with professionalism, empathy, and discretion
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. frequently

Nice To Haves

Accredited Medical Assisting program graduate preferred
At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in a clinic or medical office experience preferred

Responsibilities

Room patients, verify patient information and prepare them for appointments
Record medical histories, vital signs, and patient information in the EHR
Assist providers during exams and in-office procedures
Administer injections, perform EKGs, provide wound care, and conduct required in-office testing
Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked exam rooms and clinical equipment
Schedule appointments, provide financial counseling, and verify insurance information
Answer and triage calls, assist with referrals, and ensure timely follow-up
Perform clerical tasks, process paperwork and managing electronic files in AthenaClinicals
