This role involves assisting with patient admissions, gathering health information, taking vital signs, facilitating medication refills, and assisting with prior authorizations and referrals. The Certified Medical Assistant will perform routine lab tests, administer injections and medications, prepare patients for examinations and procedures, and collect specimens. They will also set up procedure trays, obtain patient consents, assist providers with various procedures, and manage wound care. Additionally, the role includes coordinating patient appointments, reviewing home care instructions, documenting messages, maintaining medication and vaccine logs, and ensuring proper disposal of biohazard waste. The position also requires administering oxygen therapies and prescribed drops/ointments, adhering to safety protocols, and upholding the mission of Mountrail County Health Center. Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor may also be part of the role.
