About The Position

Certified Medical Assistant – Harris Women’s Services is a full-time position at Harris Regional Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health. This role involves providing comprehensive care services to patients of all ages, including routine checkups, illness management, preventative care, and minor procedures, within a friendly and welcoming environment. The position offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus with a 2-year commitment and a Monday-Friday, 8a-5p schedule.

Requirements

  • Current state certification as a certified or registered medical assistant.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), within 90 days of hire.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous medical office experience, preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Under the supervision of provider, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.
  • Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
  • Monitors and communication regarding changes in patient condition.
  • Documents patient care given.
  • Maintains examination areas.
  • Maintains equipment and medical supplies, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
  • Perform administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
  • Completes other tasks, within scope of position, as delegated by the practice leads, supervisors, managers or Market Director.
