About The Position

Merakey is seeking a Part-Time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join their team at the Behavioral Health Urgent Care Clinic (BHUCC) walk-in clinic in Philadelphia, PA. This clinic serves adults needing non-crisis same-day care for emotional or behavioral health concerns, aiming to reduce avoidable visits to crisis centers and emergency rooms by facilitating access to timely mental health care. The CMA will provide cross-clinic support, assisting with intake processes, medical screenings, medication administration, and medical case management. This role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and foster a supportive environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Certified Medical Assistant is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in behavioral health, urgent care, or similar environment is preferred.
  • Bilingual candidate is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical screenings, biometric assessments, and vital signs monitoring.
  • Ability to administer medications, draw blood for labs and manage medication-related tasks, under the direction of a CRNP or prescriber.
  • Detail-oriented and organized to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with individuals and colleagues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Responsibilities
