About The Position
West Coast Wound and Skin Care is looking to hire a Medical Assistant to be out in the field. The Field MA is responsible for administering ultrasound therapy to patients in their respective homes 5 days a week, as well as materials management, scribing, performing chart checks, and coordinating skin sweeps one day per week. Responsible for obtaining data/metrics to facilitate our financial analysis of hiring for expansion and growth.
Requirements
- Valid MA Certification
- Excellent customer service, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Strong awareness of medical terminology
- Strong desire for patient care
Nice To Haves
- 1-2 years of clinical management/medical experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound therapy on wound patients.
- Order medical supplies.
- Scribe for respective doctors.
- Prepare patients for procedures.
- Perform chart checks for evaluation of stalled wounds for existing patients.
- Coordinate skin sweep scheduling.
- Scribe for skin sweeps.
- Make Initial Assessment calls.
Benefits
- Guaranteed base pay of $810 per week
- Base is calculated at $27/patient visit for a minimum of 6 patients per day
- $27 per additional patient visit for any visits beyond the daily base
