About The Position

This is a full-time Certified Medical Assistant position that involves travelling to various HVMG Physician Offices, ConvenientCare, and HV Pediatrics locations. The role requires performing a range of clinical and administrative duties to support patient care and office operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current Medical Assistant certification (e.g., AAMA CMA, AMT RMA, NHA CCMA, NCCT NCMA, or NAHP NRCMA)
• Current CPR certification
• Proficiency in computer applications relevant to clinical practice
• Minimum of 2–3 years of recent experience in a primary care physician office setting
• Demonstrated proficiency in venipuncture
• Ability to travel within the assigned territory
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in varying office settings with minimal notice
• Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant diploma or degree program
• Pediatrics experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients, collects vital signs, reviews patient medication list and patient medical/social history.
• Collects specimens and performs basic laboratory tests.
• Administers injections and medications as directed by the provider.
• Performs other clinical tasks as needed.
• Orders supplies.
• Updates and maintains medical records.
• Obtains referrals and authorizations.
• Schedules appointments.
