This role involves assisting with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a provider (Physician or Advanced Practice Provider). The Certified Medical Assistant will also assist with treatments ordered by the provider as supervised by the provider or registered nurse, and perform select clinical duties. Key responsibilities include interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, and recording information on patients' charts. The role also involves preparing treatment rooms, performing basic clerical duties such as answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing, and managing basic materials like ordering and stocking supplies. Additionally, the assistant will help maintain a clean and orderly environment, may document provider encounters, list diagnoses and symptoms, and transcribe patient orders including laboratory tests, radiology tests, and medications.
