Our MUSC Orthopedics and Musculoskeletal care team offers multiple specialties including Pediatrics, Total joint, Spine, Sports medicine, Trauma, Foot and ankle, Hand, PM&R, and pain management. Our team provides high-quality care under the direction of a physician or licensed healthcare provider. We room patient’s, obtain vital signs, document in electronic medical record, prep clinics, patient phone calls, set up injections, and assist with minor procedures. The care team is trained through each specialty so we’re able to work together to provide the best care for our patients. Responsible for quality patient care under the direction of a physician or licensed healthcare provider in a clinical practice. Duties to include rooming patients, taking vitals and health history, documenting in an electronic medical record, giving injections and assisting with minor procedures. The CMA in the clinic reports to the Clinic Manager. The Ambulatory Certified Medical Assistant performs multi-skilled activities to support a decentralized patient-centered approach to patient care and achieve desired outcomes.
