Alluvion Health is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their primary care team in Choteau, MT. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required (for Certified Medical Assistant)
  • Completion of a Certified Medical Assistant program required (for Certified Medical Assistant)
  • Current Medical Assistant certification required (for Certified Medical Assistant)
  • 1-2 years of experience in a primary care setting or equivalent required (for Certified Medical Assistant)
  • Licensed Practical Nurse degree required (for Licensed Practical Nurse)
  • Current State of Montana LPN license required (for Licensed Practical Nurse)
  • 1-2 years of experience in a primary care setting or equivalent required (for Licensed Practical Nurse)
  • Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfort working in an electronic medical record system and using standard computer programs
  • Valid Montana driver’s license
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct clinical support to providers and patients in a primary care setting
  • Room patients, gather patient information, and obtain vital signs
  • Prepare patients for exams, treatments, and procedures
  • Assist providers during exams and carry out clinical tasks according to licensure and clinic protocols
  • Administer medications, injections, immunizations, and treatments as permitted by licensure
  • Document patient information, care, treatments, and follow-up accurately in the electronic medical record
  • Review patient charts for completeness and updates before visits
  • Support patient flow and help ensure efficient clinic operations
  • Coordinate referrals to specialists, community resources, and outside services
  • Provide patient education and reinforce preventive care guidance
  • Answer calls, respond to messages, and assist with timely patient communication
  • Stock supplies, prepare exam rooms, and support clinic organization and cleanliness
  • Participate in team huddles, meetings, quality improvement activities, and other clinic initiatives
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA, safety, and organizational policies
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
