About The Position

Lourdes Medical Center is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for their Family Medicine department. This role supports healthcare professionals in providing care to patients and the community, contributing to a healthier future. The position involves assisting with patient assessments and treatments under supervision, performing diagnostic procedures and specimen collection, monitoring patient conditions, and documenting care. Responsibilities also include maintaining equipment and supplies, managing examination areas, and performing administrative duties such as filing, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration. The role requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, minimal supervision, and the ability to work effectively in a stressful environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current WA CCMA or CMA. must be obtained within the hire date.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certificate or obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of physicians or nurses, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.
• Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
• Monitors and communication changes in patient condition.
• Documents patient care given.
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
• Maintains examination areas.
• Perform administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
