About The Position

A well-established pediatric primary care practice in Neptune, NJ is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for a long-term contract assignment. This role supports physicians and nursing staff by delivering high-quality clinical and administrative patient care services in a fast-paced ambulatory environment. The ideal candidate will have prior pediatric experience, strong patient rooming and vital sign skills, experience administering pediatric immunizations, and excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum 1 year of CMA experience required
Pediatric experience preferred
Experience administering pediatric immunizations required
Strong patient rooming and vital sign skills required
Active AHA BLS certification required
CMA – AAMA
CMA – NHA
CMA – NCCT
RMA – AMT
RMA – NAHP
AMCA NCMA

Nice To Haves

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred

Responsibilities

Prepare exam and treatment rooms with required supplies and equipment
Room patients and accurately obtain/document vital signs
Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures
Administer pediatric immunizations as required
Perform EKG, PFT, Audiometry, Titmus testing, UDS, BAT, and phlebotomy following competency validation
Obtain and document patient medical histories
Perform medication reconciliation and follow-up on test results
Maintain accurate patient records and EMR documentation
Schedule appointments and update patient demographic information
Conduct telephone and in-person patient screening
Maintain inventory and routine upkeep of clinical equipment
Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and healthcare staff
Support front-office functions including billing and collections when needed
Follow infection control, confidentiality, and workplace safety guidelines
