About The Position

Up Health System-Portage, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Clinic CMA to join their team. This role is vital in making communities healthier by providing direct and individualized care to clinic patients. The Clinic CMA will perform basic diagnostic procedures, collect specimens, monitor patient conditions, and document care. They will also be responsible for maintaining equipment and medical supplies, stocking, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintaining examination areas. Administrative and clerical duties such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration are also part of the role.

Requirements

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) license required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Critical thinking skills
• Decisive judgment
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Nice To Haves

• One-year related experience, preferred.
• One year clinic experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and individualized care to clinic patients.
• Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
• Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition.
• Documents patient care given.
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning and troubleshooting.
• Maintains examination areas.
• Performs administrative or clerical duties an assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
