About The Position

A Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) joining our team, you're embracing a vital mission dedicated to making communities healthier. This role provides direct and indirect patient care in the clinic setting. The CMA provides care that reflects initiative, flexibility and responsibility indicative of professional expectations, under the supervision of a provider. This includes maintaining regulatory requirements, nursing and office policies, procedures, and standards. The CMA determines priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system. The CMA communicates with providers about changes in patient's condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomology.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of Certified or Registered Medical Assistant training program.
  • 2 to 3 years medical experience in a physician’s office or equivalent in combination of training or experience preferred.
  • CMA (AAMA) Certification, National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), or RMA (ARMA) Certification
  • Current BCLS certification.
