About The Position

Cleaver Medical Group is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Pain Management team! We are looking for a dependable, compassionate, and clinically focused team member who enjoys working directly with patients and thrives in a fast-paced medical environment. This position will play an important role in supporting our providers and ensuring patients receive excellent care throughout their visit.

Requirements

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Previous experience in a medical office preferred
  • Strong clinical and communication skills
  • Comfortable interacting with patients in a professional and compassionate manner
  • Excellent attention to detail and accurate documentation skills
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable, organized, and able to work effectively as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • Pain management experience is a plus, but not required
  • Experience with electronic medical records preferred

Responsibilities

  • Room and prepare patients for provider visits
  • Obtain and document patient vital signs and medical history
  • Perform urine drug screenings and other clinical testing as directed
  • Assist providers with patient care and clinical procedures
  • Review and update patient medications and medical history
  • Pull and organize medical records, imaging, and other relevant patient information
  • Accurately document patient information and care in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Respond to patient voicemails and assist with clinical follow-up as needed
  • Communicate with patients regarding appointments, questions, and care instructions
  • Assist with prescription-related requests and provider messages within the scope of the role
  • Coordinate with providers and other clinical team members to ensure efficient patient flow
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked clinical environment
  • Follow all HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and practice policies
  • Provide professional, compassionate, and respectful patient care
  • Perform other clinical and administrative duties as needed
