About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA) to join our growing team! This role supports an ambulatory/physician office by performing a variety of clinical and administrative functions to ensure smooth daily operations and an exceptional patient experience. This position plays a key role in coordinating patient care, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting both providers and patients in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Active Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA) certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office or clinical setting
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and patient service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and basic computer applications
• Ability to handle sensitive patient information with professionalism and confidentiality

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of ICD and CPT coding preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform patient scheduling, registration, and administrative support for the practice
• Room patients, take vital signs, and assist providers with clinical procedures (aligned to CCMA scope)
• Answer phones, manage messages, and maintain medical records and documentation
• Enter charges, support billing functions, and handle cash transactions when needed
• Coordinate referrals and authorizations with insurance providers
• Serve as a liaison between patients, providers, and insurance companies
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment
