About The Position

The YMCA of the North Shore is hiring certified lifeguards at locations across the North Shore. This is a flexible, meaningful part-time job where you can stay active, build valuable skills, and make a difference in your community. Opportunities are available for various shifts, including early morning, daytime, evening, and weekend shifts. The YMCA is committed to a policy of nondiscrimination and equal opportunity.

Requirements

• A minimum age of 16 years
• Current certifications in: Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, First Aid, Oxygen Administration
• A calm, confident presence with strong attention to safety and detail
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• Seeking availability for both weekday and weekend shifts.

Nice To Haves

• Currently certified lifeguards only (for sign-on bonus eligibility)

Responsibilities

• Actively monitor the pool and help maintain a safe environment for members and participants.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow YMCA safety procedures.
• Create a welcoming and positive experience for members and program participants.
• Maintain a clean and organized pool environment.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
