About The Position

This is a Full Time, Days position in the Cardiovascular Cath Lab at Olympia Fields Hospital, located in Olympia Fields, IL. A sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 is available for qualified candidates. The role involves assisting the physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist) by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures in the cardiovascular lab. The technician will ensure the procedure room is prepared, monitor instrument and supply levels, and participate in departmental meetings, performance improvement activities, and staff training. The position also includes assisting in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.

Requirements

ARRT-R and licensed as required by State; VI (Vascular Interventional Technologist) preferred.
Previous experience in a Interventional Radiology department preferred.
BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); required within 30 days of hire.
Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

Ensures procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure.
Monitors par level of all instruments and supplies.
Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities and the training of new staff.
Assists in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.
