Certified Instructor - Ski or Snowboard
About The Position
Eldora is seeking friendly, welcoming, and inclusive Ski & Ride School Instructors to provide unparalleled learning and customer service experiences for guests. Instructors will instill confidence and a love for winter sports while guiding guests to discover the joys of skiing or snowboarding. This role involves working throughout the season to ensure the best possible guest experience, both individually and as part of the Eldora team. Requirements
- Ability to ski and ride well
- High school degree or equivalent
- Ability to meet company standards for background check.
- Able to work long and irregular hours including weekends and holidays.
- Must be an excellent communicator and work well with others in and outside of the SRS department.
- Must have empathy and patience.
- Must be willing to teach any age range (child through adult).
- Current PSIA-AASI certifications
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with teaching/coaching/mentoring children or customer service preferred.
- Previous experience working with children (4-14yr olds) preferred.
- Has a desire to develop their personal skiing and/or riding skills.
Responsibilities
- Must love working with kids of all ages and can communicate effectively with parents to build long lasting relationships with the entire family.
- Must be able to share your love for skiing/riding with Eldora guests in a safe and effective manner.
- Teach skiing or snowboarding with a keen focus on the welfare of the students.
- Have a desire to learn and develop personal skills by attending our free, ongoing ski & snowboard training.
- Live the Eldora culture of being welcoming and inclusive while abiding by our policies.
- Has an entrepreneurial mindset and sees an opportunity to build their brand through Eldora’s client base and SRS products.
- Adheres to all company safety policies and procedures, actively contributing to a safe working environment for self, coworkers, and guests.
- Support Eldora’s corporate responsibility commitment to protect the environment by participating in our Sustainable Transportation Program.
- Must be able to access daily schedules and company notices electronically.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays as required by resort operations.
