Requirements

Minimum 3 Years In Coding And/Or Abstracting
AHIMA or AAPC Inpatient Certification

Responsibilities

Codes and abstracts inpatient accounts on a daily basis using computer generated work ques.
Competent in coding of Inpatient Records and assigning appropriate DRGs.
Populates correct discharge disposition.
Generated physician queries for incomplete documentation.
Works directly with CDI on coding coordination with coding assignment.
Knowledgeable in Coding Clinics and Inpatient Coding Guidelines.
