About The Position

Interfor is seeking energetic and enthusiastic team players to join our team as a Certified Industrial Electrician in Castlegar. Starting rate for this position is $51.245 per hour.

Requirements

Must be a Red Seal certified journeyman industrial electrician.
Allen Bradley PLC experience, motion control, and the ability to troubleshoot VFD drives, optimizer systems, and scanners.
Commitment to maintain a safe work environment without compromise.

Able to communicate effectively with your team and other departments.
Take personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work.
Must have good computer skills.
Must be willing to work in a multi-shift work schedule.

Nice To Haves

Sawmill, planermill and energy systems experience preferred.
FSR qualification would be considered an asset.
Proven leadership skills and experience.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and team building skills.
Demonstrated problem solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
Desire, to progress, learn, grow and succeed.
Recognize problems and have them corrected immediately.

Responsibilities

Work in a safe and efficient manner while following all safety rules and regulations.
Preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electrical equipment and controls for our Sawmill, Planermill and Kiln hot oil systems.
Set up, troubleshoot, and repair PLC and HMI systems.
Solve problems and work as part of a team focused on machine reliability and breakdown prevention.
