About The Position

This job implements technical procedures and care on all patients safely and effectively as directed by the Registered Nurse or physician. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current certification as Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) in state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
  • Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Wound care and/or hyperbaric medicine area experience.
  • EMT, CNA, Respiratory Therapist, LPN or Certified Hyperbaric Technician license.

Responsibilities

  • Completes position responsibilities by following established guidelines and protocols within the appropriate time frame.
  • Provides care based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety and related criteria, appropriate to the ages of patients/customers served in assigned area within scope of practice.
  • Provides professional customer service to patients, family, supervisors, and co-workers
  • Adapts to change in a positive constructive manner.
  • Participates in activities for professional development and maintains required clinical knowledge, technical skills, training, and credentials.
  • Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to: respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
  • Remains knowledgeable on current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility and ensures compliance with all such laws, regulations and standards.
