Certified Hospital Technician (CNA) - Medical Specialties
About The Position
Legacy Health’s nursing philosophy centers on patients and their families, with care focused on making life better for patients and the community. As part of the interprofessional team at Legacy Silverton Medical Center, the Certified Hospital Technician works under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide and document care supporting patients’ activities of daily living. The role contributes to high-quality care while respecting each patient’s dignity, autonomy, and individual routines. Legacy Silverton Medical Center serves the heart of the Willamette Valley and offers a range of services, including CT scan, nuclear medicine, echocardiography, and a family birth center.
Requirements
- Current CNA certificate required.
- BLS for Provider certificate from the American Heart Association required.
Responsibilities
- Provide and document care that supports patients’ activities of daily living.
- Assist with personal hygiene and grooming.
- Maintain a clean, healthy, and safe environment.
- Practice basic infection control procedures.
- Help ensure adequate nutrition and fluid intake.
- Recognize and respond appropriately to emergencies.
- Respect patient dignity, autonomy, and individual routines while contributing to high-quality patient care.
