About The Position
Legacy Health’s nursing philosophy centers on patients and their families, with care delivered by an interprofessional team. This Certified Hospital Technician II position is at Legacy Silverton Medical Center, which serves the Willamette Valley and offers services including CT scan, nuclear medicine, echocardiography, and a family birth center. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), the technician provides and documents care that supports patients’ activities of daily living. The role contributes to high-quality patient care while respecting patient dignity, autonomy, and individual routines.
Requirements
- Current CNA certificate.
- BLS for Provider certificate from the American Heart Association.
Responsibilities
- Provide and document care that supports patients’ activities of daily living under the direction of an RN or LPN.
- Assist with personal hygiene and grooming.
- Maintain a clean, healthy, and safe environment.
- Practice basic infection control procedures.
- Ensure adequate nutrition and fluid intake.
- Recognize and respond appropriately to emergencies.
- Maintain respect for patient dignity, autonomy, and individual routines.
