About The Position

Interim HealthCare is seeking Certified Homemaker-Home Health Aides (CHHAs) to provide essential care and support to patients. This role involves a variety of tasks including companion activities, homemaking, personal care, and transportation to appointments. CHHAs will assist patients with daily activities such as grocery shopping, exercise, activity and positioning, range of motion, transferring, ambulation, and the use of assistive devices. Responsibilities also include personal hygiene (nail and skin care, bathing, shampooing), monitoring vital signs, providing post-stroke and dementia care, light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation, all while adhering to the patient's specific plan of care. Nursing students are encouraged to apply, as the company offers guidance through the certification process.

Requirements

NJ CHHA certification
Reliable transportation
Ability to pass criminal history and background check
Ability to pass drug screening
Authorized to work in the United States
Provide two references of past employers or nursing program instructors (no family or friends)
Able to constantly travel within geographic area serviced by office from assignment to assignment
Basic Life Support (CPR)
