Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA)
About The Position
Home & Health Care Management is seeking a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to join their team. This role involves working with an interdisciplinary team to assist individuals transitioning from hospital to home care, helping them remain in the community. The agency specializes in in-home care and case management for older adults, children, and individuals with disabilities, utilizing various health programs to find solutions for clients. This is not a position for general caregivers or registry aides, but specifically for individuals with state-issued CHHA certification.
Requirements
- Completed an approved Home Health Aide training course and received Certification as Home Health Aide from the State of California
- Valid California Driver’s License
- Eligible to be insured under our liability policy with a clean DMV report
- Reliable transportation
- Proof of current auto insurance
- Negative TB skin test or chest X-ray
- Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check
- Current CPR certification
Nice To Haves
- Patient-interaction skills
- Experience with ADLs
- Experience with Hoyer Lifts
- Ability to multi-task and perform duties in a timely and orderly manner
Responsibilities
- Assists patient with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, preparation and feeding of meals, dressing and undressing, ambulation, and other activities as needed
- Performs duties as assigned in an accurate and timely manner
- Notifies the office of any abnormal findings or conditions
