The Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) will be responsible for providing or assisting with ADL activities, personal hygiene, grooming, mouth, skin care, and nails. This includes assisting with toileting, positioning, transfer activities, and frequent turning and positioning of bed-bound residents/patients. The CHHA will also assist with prescribed exercises and ROM activities as taught by the Hospice Nurse, perform light housekeeping of the resident's personal unit or room, including changing bed linens and patient laundry, and assist or feed patients during meals. Additionally, the CHHA will obtain temperature, pulse, and respirations under the supervision of the Hospice Nurse, report any changes in resident/patient condition to the Hospice Nurse and facility nurse, and document this information. They will also assist or remind patients to take medication in compliance with regulations.
