About The Position
As a Home Health Aide with Comprehensive, you will provide activities of daily living (ADL) care and support for patients in their homes. The ideal candidate is compassionate and knowledgeable about caring for terminally ill patients and patients recovering from illness or injury. The role calls for a patient, personable, and attentive CHHA with strong communication and interpersonal skills. The area of coverage is Contra Costa County.
Requirements
- Current HHA certificate.
- 1–2 years of home health or hospice CHHA experience.
- Ability to pass a background check and reference check.
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
- Current TB test and physical.
- Experience with ADL care, transfers and mobility, range-of-motion exercises, and incontinence.
- Compassion, patience, strong communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive personal care to patients under the supervision of an RN.
- Prioritize work assignments.
- Complete and submit required paperwork, including daily notes, route sheets, and documentation of care provided as indicated in the plan of care.
- Show courtesy, cooperation, and compassion toward patients, physicians, and fellow workers to help create a positive work environment.
