This position demonstrates advanced clinical skills in evaluating, planning, and implementing individualized Occupational Therapy treatment plans across a variety of functional domains. The Certified Hand Therapist will interpret complex provider referrals and evaluate patients in areas such as independent living skills, occupational performance, prevocational work adjustment, educational skills, play-leisure abilities, social skills, and psychosocial skills. They will develop and implement individualized treatment plans with regular assessment of progress, ensuring compliance with system-wide, local, state, and federal regulatory requirements. The role involves educating patients and their families about their condition, treatment plan, and strategies for home management, and coordinating collaboration with other healthcare professionals as needed. The position also actively participates in departmental meetings and demonstrates engagement in service line rounds, journal clubs, or discharge planning. Additionally, the Certified Hand Therapist will serve as a preceptor and mentor to new team members and support educational initiatives within the enterprise, department, and student programming.
