The Aviation Technology program at USU offers Bachelor of Science degrees in Professional Pilot and Maintenance Management. The program focuses on applying cutting-edge technology with exceptional training to produce high-quality pilots and technicians. Professional Pilot graduates are trained to be commercial pilots using Diamond Aircraft with glass cockpits and advanced instrument and navigation technology. The program also utilizes a Regional Jet Flight Simulator for hands-on commercial airliner experience and offers a nine-week private pilot summer program. The Aviation Technology – Maintenance Management major prepares students for FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) licenses, with coursework in aviation law, human factors in aviation safety, and management, including essential business skills. Graduates find employment opportunities with major airlines, fixed-base operators, repair stations, and aircraft manufacturers.
