Certified Financial Planner

LearnLux
$80,000 - $110,000Remote

About The Position

LearnLux is hiring a Certified Financial Planner® to join a fast-growing team that's redefining what financial wellness looks like at work. You'll bring deep equity compensation expertise to help members make sense of complex, high-stakes decisions, while also serving the full range of people we support, from those just starting to build savings to high net worth clients navigating significant wealth. This is a chance to shape how a growing startup delivers financial guidance, working directly with employees rather than behind a desk, and helping build the playbook as we go. This role is 100% remote within the US and reports to the Director of Financial Planning.

Requirements

  • An active CFP® designation with at least 5 years of experience after achieving the designation
  • Strong, hands-on experience advising on holistic financial plans including equity compensation and the tax and planning implications that come with it
  • Comfort moving between high net worth planning and everyday financial guidance without treating either as an afterthought
  • A genuine drive to help people take control of their financial future, whatever their starting point
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities, take direction from several team members, and act on your own initiative
  • Broad experience across personal finance: retirement, investments, budgeting, debt management, student loans, cash flow planning, digital currencies, estate planning, insurance, taxes, and more

Nice To Haves

  • CPA® or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation
  • Certification in Credit Counseling
  • Additional Certifications
  • Startup and/or Fintech experience
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish)
  • Experience creating presentations and presenting to large audiences virtually or in-person
  • Availability to work occasional evenings and Saturday’s
  • Ability to occasionally travel to on-site events

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the team's go-to expert on equity compensation, helping members understand what they hold, what they owe, and what to do next
  • Meet with clients remotely over video, chat, and email on the full range of financial topics: budgeting, student loans, retirement readiness, equity compensation, debt management, investments, taxes, and more
  • Shape how LearnLux responds to a changing financial and regulatory environment, applying the LearnLux methodology to real client situations
  • Bring your expertise into weekly team meetings to sharpen the whole team's approach
  • Become fluent in your client company's benefit plans so you can act as an extension of their team
  • Partner with our content team to build outlines, lessons, and video content, with a natural emphasis on equity compensation and tax planning topics
  • Design and lead engagement campaigns for employer partners, including webinars and occasional on-site events
  • Provide coverage across shifts from 7 AM to 11 PM ET Monday through Friday, and 9 AM to 4 PM ET on Saturdays

Benefits

  • Remote-first company structure
  • Medical, dental, and vision
  • 401(k)
  • Mental wellbeing (Talkspace)
  • Financial wellbeing (LearnLux)
  • Paid vacation and sick leave
  • Paid sabbatical after 5 years of service
  • A supportive, inclusive team culture
  • Opportunities for continuous learning and growth at a fast-growing startup at the cutting edge intersection of financial wellness and technology
