About The Position

Mohawk Industries is seeking a Certified Final Inspector for the 3rd shift in the Calhoun, Ga area. This role involves inspecting carpet for defects, verifying style and color, measuring carpet rolls, and performing minor repairs when possible. The inspector will also be responsible for entering roll information into the computer, attending necessary training, following standard operating procedures, and maintaining general housekeeping.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalency required.
• No prior experience required.
• Reads and writes in standard English.
• Proficient in performing basic math calculations such as addition and subtraction.
• Successful completion of all required on the job training.
• Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training.

Responsibilities

• Inspect carpet for defects and tag defects.
• Distinguish between quality and off-quality carpet.
• Verify the style and color number are correct by using a deckboard.
• Measure the width of each greige good roll.
• Clean or repair defects when able.
• Enter roll information onto computer.
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.
• Follow all established standard operating procedures.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.
