About The Position

The Elementary Classroom Teacher will provide standards-based instruction aligned to the Arkansas Academic Standards and district curriculum. The role involves delivering high-quality, evidence-based instruction grounded in the Science of Reading to meet the diverse needs of all students. This is a 190-day contract position reporting to the Principal.

Requirements

• Valid Arkansas teaching license or acceptance into a DESE-approved Alternative Licensure Program in K-6 Elementary Education
• Knowledge of the Science of Reading
• Completion of, or willingness to obtain, required R.I.S.E. credentials
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver standards-based instruction
• Implement systematic literacy instruction aligned to the Science of Reading
• Differentiate instruction to meet student needs
• Assess and monitor student progress
• Maintain a safe and effective classroom environment
• Communicate with parents/guardians regularly
• Participate in professional development and collaborative planning
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with requirements
• Integrate instructional technology
• Demonstrate professionalism and flexibility
• Perform other duties as assigned
