About The Position

DaVita is seeking a certified Patient Care Technician to provide hands-on dialysis care to patients with kidney disease in a hospital setting. This is a full-time, day-shift float opportunity serving the Muskegon and Grand Rapids, Michigan area, with flexibility to work at different locations as needed. The role involves delivering one-on-one patient care, monitoring treatments, supporting and educating patients, and collaborating with members of the care team. Dialysis experience and CHT/BONENT certification are required.

Requirements

• Accredited high school diploma, GED credential, or equivalent.
• Dialysis experience.
• CHT or BONENT certification.
• Comfort working with blood, needles, and medical equipment.
• Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical stamina for long shifts of up to 12 or more hours.
• Flexibility to float between locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one dialysis care to patients with kidney disease.
• Monitor and record vital signs, set up dialysis machines, and observe treatment.
• Support patients physically and emotionally throughout their care.
• Educate patients on dialysis-related topics.
• Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team members.
• Float between locations as needed.
