About The Position

Acreview Dental Clinic is seeking an energetic, self-motivated Certified Dental Assistant to join our exceptional team in the beautiful Comox Valley. We are a well-established practice with over 30 years of experience providing outstanding patient care in a recently renovated, modern clinic overlooking green acreage and nearby mountains. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of advanced dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently as a team player in a fast-paced environment. New graduates are welcome to apply. Salary is commensurate with experience. This is a full-time position with some flexibility—no evenings and no weekends.

Requirements

Previous experience as a certified dental assistant is preferred, with knowledge of implants and crown and bridge.
Certification as a Registered Dental Assistant and in good standing with the BCCOHP .
Familiarity with dental software systems such as Power Practice, Adstra, and Romexis.
Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.

Responsibilities

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures.
Prepare the operatories and setting up necessary materials.
Take dental radiographs (X-rays) and CBCT scans as required.
Maintain accurate patient records and update information in our Power Practice system.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive patient experience.
Complete children’s cleanings and take impressions.
Aid in the sterilization of instruments.
