Requirements

  • Certified Dental Assistant (Level II) designation.
  • Current registration and good standing with the Ontario Dental Assistants Association (ODAA).
  • Experience in a dental practice environment.
  • Experience with dental software systems; experience with LiveDDM is considered an asset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and commitment to delivering outstanding patient care.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) is considered an asset.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide chairside assistance during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring efficient and seamless patient care.
  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments in accordance with infection prevention and control standards.
  • Take dental radiographs and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment procedures, and post-operative care instructions.
  • Support clinical workflow by anticipating the needs of dentists and patients throughout appointments.
  • Assist with inventory management and maintaining an organized clinical environment.
  • Collaborate with administrative team members to support scheduling, patient communication, and overall clinic operations when needed.
  • Help create a positive, compassionate, and patient-focused experience for every individual who visits our practice.
