About The Position

We are seeking a Certified Crane Operator to operate mobile cranes, excavators, and backhoes for bridge construction projects. The role involves not only operating heavy machinery but also performing minor repairs and routine equipment maintenance. A strong commitment to safety procedures and practices is essential for this position.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years crane operator experience required for Crawler and Rough Terrain Cranes.
NCCCO Certified Lattice Boom Crawler.
NCCCO Certified Telescopic Boom Swing Cab.
Large hydraulic certification required.
Ability to continuously work around noise, dust, heat, cold, oil and heavy equipment.
Ability to exchange ideas quickly and clearly.
Ability to receive and evaluate detailed information and instructions.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED (preferred but not required).
Pile driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate cranes and other heavy equipment efficiently while maintaining a high standard of safety.
Safely and properly rig loads for each piece of equipment operated.
Perform upkeep and general maintenance of the equipment.
Perform duties with an awareness to avoid overloading, obstruction of crane movement, working with overhead and underground utilities, etc.
Perform daily inspection of equipment while maintaining a clean work area.
Conduct documented pre-shift and monthly inspections of equipment for safety and mechanical defects.
Understand and follow hand signals or audio instructions from fellow employees.
Report any concerns or deficiencies to supervisors.
Learn and follow safety regulations.
Take actions to avoid potential hazards or obstructions, such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, or falling objects.
Perform necessary work while complying with all company policies and procedures.
Perform additional duties as required or directed by their immediate supervisor or other manager.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
