Under the general supervision of the Medical Assistant Supervisor, the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) provides patient care that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care in the office setting. They meet the communication needs of patients and families, and provide care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or physician. The CCMA maintains regulatory requirements, nursing and office policies, procedures and standards. They communicate with physicians and team members about the patient's clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
