About The Position

Offering an exciting opportunity as our first Outpatient Radiology Child Life Specialist. This new position, located at our pediatric ambulatory center, will provide psychosocial support to children and families receiving imaging services. You will work closely with our radiology team (technicians, nurses, physicians and others) to create an emotionally safe and supportive experience for children and adolescents.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Child Life or a Bachelor's Degree with 1 plus years of experience working as a Child Life Specialist.
• Certified Child Life Specialist

Responsibilities

• Provide psychosocial support to children and families receiving imaging services.
• Work closely with the radiology team (technicians, nurses, physicians and others) to create an emotionally safe and supportive experience for children and adolescents.
• Develop and expand services for patients ages 0-18 years.
• Provide therapeutic play.
• Develop preparation materials.
• Enhance the patient and family experience.
• Focus on growing the non-sedated MRI program.
