About The Position

This is a Full Time, Days position in the Cardiovascular Cath Lab at Olympia Fields Hospital, located in Olympia Fields, IL. A sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 is available for qualified candidates. The role involves assisting the physician by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures in the cardiovascular lab. The technologist will ensure the procedure room is prepared, monitor instrument and supply levels, participate in departmental meetings and performance improvement activities, and assist in training new staff. The position also requires assisting in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.

Requirements

ARRT-R and license as required by State or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required.
BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); required within 30 days of hire.
Proficient computer skills.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab; preferred.
Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred.

Responsibilities

Under the general direction of the physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), will assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab.
Ensures procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure.
Monitors par level of all instruments and supplies.
Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities and the training of new staff.
Assists in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.
