About The Position

Provide hands-on care and assist residents with their care and ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) while also serving as a companion. This role involves helping to keep resident apartments tidy and performing other domestic duties as requested. The goal is to be a companion, keep seniors active, and encourage their independence.

Requirements

• Current Arizona Caregiver/Med Tech Certificate or CNA license required.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and document care
• Someone who provides high levels of customer care with compassion and heart
• Comfortable being on your feet for extended periods of time
• Maintain safe and sanitary work conditions
• Flu vaccine required

Responsibilities

• Ambulation and transfer assistance
• Toileting, bathing, and grooming assistance
• Wake up services and dressing assistance
• Meal preparation
• Organizational help
• Ambulation support (pushing a wheelchair or accompanying for balance)
• Errands (grocery and household goods shopping, etc.)
• Companionship
• Schedule and medication reminders
• Maintain service plan tracking of all services performed
• Know and understand resident’s expectations and meet those expectations within community policy
• Inform Supervisor of any changing conditions that affect the resident’s ability to function independently
