Requirements

• Certified in Bone Densitometry by International Society for Clinical Densitometry ISCD
• Must hold Americal Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.

Nice To Haves

• Adheres to ISCD position statement.
• Knowledge of diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis and metabolic bone disease.
• Working knowledge of image processing, reconstruction and PACS.
• Knowledge and use of proper methods of medical documentation.
• Knowledge and use of standard procedures in women's imaging as regards bone densitometry.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and performs Central Bone Densitometry of the Lumbar Spine and proximal femur for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease.
• Participates in the training of new personnel.
• Participates in performance improvement programs.
• Participates in patient and family education.
• Observes patients and notifies appropriate personnel of significant changes/incidences.
