About The Position

At MORE Physical Therapy, Inc. our passion is empowering people to return to play, return to work and return to life! We currently have an opportunity for a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to work in a clinical setting in the Rosegarden area and with a professional team of athletes. When not working with the team, full time hours will be in our clinic setting as a Physical Therapy Aide in addition to ATC duties. All Aide responsibilities are carried out under the direct supervision of a Physical Therapist and include: Assist Patients with exercises and the proper use of gym equipment, Provide routine modalities such as electronic stimulation and ultra sound, Prepare treatment rooms for patients; set up and take down equipment. MORE's innovative and personalized approach to rehabilitation combines manual therapy, injury-prevention education, and the active involvement of the patient. Our highly qualified team of professionals includes physical therapists and physical therapist assistants who are specialists in Active Release Techniques, aquatic therapy, athletic training, ergonomics, orthopedics, and strength & conditioning. In addition, we have a team of highly trained and patient-focused administrative personnel and physical therapy aides who provide invaluable support to our patients and professional staff.

Requirements

• NATABOC certification
• CPR/AED certification
• Successful completion of a background check

Responsibilities

• Provide athletic training services including emergency care; injury prevention and wellness education; and consultations for acute and chronic injuries.
• Make referrals to physicians and/or physical therapists for further assessment and treatment as needed.
• Provide coverage both on-site and away for practices and competitions.
• Ensure emergency preparedness at all practices and competitions.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and coaching staff regarding return-to-play decisions.
• Maintain a safe environment at the home and away venues.
• Follow applicable HIPAA guidelines to assure the confidentiality of athlete medical records.
