Certified Athletic Trainer - Part Time
About The Position
We are seeking a BOC Certified Athletic Trainer to support a local high school athletic program in Boalsburg, PA (near State College). This seasonal fall role offers focused, predictable weekday hours—making it an ideal fit for supplemental income, school/life balance, or maintaining your clinical skills on your terms. This role offers ultimate flexibility with only ~10 hours per week with predictable Monday–Friday afternoon/evening coverage. It is event coverage only, serving as great supplemental income, perfect for ATCs balancing another job, pursuing continuing education, or seeking a lightweight seasonal schedule. You will benefit from the resources, support, and advocacy of our network.
Requirements
- BOC Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) in good standing.
- Licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice athletic training in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Current CPR/AED for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Mandated Reporter Training within the last 2 years
- Ability to pass standard school clearances/background checks.
- Strong, independent decision-making and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site event coverage for scheduled high school athletic contests during weekday afternoons/evenings.
- Evaluate, triage, and manage athletic injuries, illnesses, and emergencies as they arise on the field or court.
- Serve as the on-site healthcare authority, communicating effectively with coaches, school staff, parents, and incoming EMT coverage when needed.
- Maintain clear, professional documentation of injuries and care provided.
