About The Position

Olympic Sports & Spine (OSS) is Western Washington’s leading school-based athletic training services provider, committed to excellence in the health and welfare of student-athletes. OSS is the official athletic training provider for the Federal Way School District and is seeking a full-time Certified Athletic Trainer to serve Todd Beamer High School and their Federal Way clinic. The ATC will provide comprehensive athletic training services for an assigned high school throughout the school year, including attending games and practices, providing training room treatment for injuries, developing preventive programs, and managing emergencies. This role involves communication with coaches, athletes, parents, and team physicians, as well as completing thorough injury evaluations and providing first aid. The Athletic Trainer will also assess, develop, implement, and oversee rehabilitation and return-to-play programs, including concussion screening. The position requires attending all practices and games, including traveling with the team to away games and community events. Athletic trainers are given significant independence to represent the OSS brand while receiving direct support from the OSS team and an all-athletic-trainer management team. Requirements

Hold a degree in athletic training.
Be certified by the BOC.
Have BLS certification.
Be licensed in Washington State.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive athletic training services for an assigned high school throughout the school year.
Attend games and practices.
Provide training room treatment for injuries.
Develop preventive programs to minimize sports-related injuries.
Manage emergencies involving student-athlete injuries.
Communicate injuries and treatment plans to coaches, athletes, parents, and team physicians.
Complete a thorough and accurate athletic injury evaluation.
Provide first aid and immediate care for acute injuries.
Assess, develop, implement, and oversee appropriate rehabilitation and return-to-play programs for athletes' concussion screening.
Attend all practices and games, including traveling with the team to away games, community events, state championships, parks & rec league sports, and signature events.
