About The Position

ATvantage is seeking a permanent Part-Time Athletic Trainer (ATC) to serve a local middle school. This is a W2 hourly position offering a structured, predictable high school rhythm, competitive hourly pay, and a supportive leadership network. The role is designed for athletic trainers who want a sports medicine role that fits around their life, family, or other commitments, keeping them in the clinical game without sacrificing their entire week. The position involves providing on-site medical coverage for scheduled afternoon practices, home games, and athletic events, evaluating, treating, and rehabilitating athletic injuries, designing and implementing injury prevention programs, developing return-to-play plans, maintaining electronic medical documentation, and communicating with coaches, athletes, and parents.

Requirements

  • BOC Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC)
  • Current CPR/AED certification
  • Mandated Reporter Training
  • Other school-required background checks/clearances as mandated by Pennsylvania state law

Nice To Haves

  • High school or secondary school experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, treat, and rehabilitate athletic injuries for middle school student-athletes during your designated shift.
  • Provide on-site medical coverage for scheduled afternoon practices, home games, and athletic events.
  • Design and implement proactive injury prevention programs.
  • Develop clear, safe return-to-play plans.
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical documentation.
  • Communicate effectively as the central link between coaches, coaches, athletes, and parents.
