About The Position

Provide athletic training services to student athletes under the direction of the program or department head or designee, in accordance with state athletic training practices. Openings are available in various locations across Massachusetts; applicants may apply to learn about current and future openings. The position is onsite at 399 Revolution Drive.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology or a related field of study.
• Athletic Trainer state license.
• Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) credential.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to adjust actions in relation to others’ actions.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Current Massachusetts driver’s license, a safe driving record, and reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree in a related field of study.
• Membership in the National Athletic Trainers’ Association.
• 0–1 year of experience working as an Athletic Trainer.

Responsibilities

• Care for athletic injuries.
• Design and implement injury rehabilitation programs.
• Assess student-athletes’ health needs, develop and execute appropriate plans of action, and determine when they are safe to return to sport participation.
• Provide athletic training coverage for all home and hosted contests as described by the CCCAA bylaws.
• Administer emergency care and first aid.
• Create and regularly update injury reports.
• Ensure proper use and fitting of equipment, including helmets, shoulder pads, braces, and mouthpieces; use tape or wraps as needed.
• Maintain documents, supplies, and the working environment to support effective and efficient clinic operations.
• Provide athletic training and student mentoring.
